About the role
The backend is the spine of LeadNova: account connections, campaign writes, event ingest, and the APIs the agents call. This role keeps that path correct under load and under audit.
What you will do
- Design and maintain APIs and background jobs for campaign launch, tracking, and retention events.
- Integrate advertising and CRM systems without losing identifiers across hops.
- Enforce idempotency, retries, and clear error surfaces for operator-facing actions.
- Keep finance-relevant totals reconcilable: spend, conversions, reward cost, contribution.
- Raise the quality bar on tests, observability, and schema changes.
What you bring
- Several years building production backends (APIs, queues, datastores).
- Experience with multi-tenant systems and third-party API constraints.
- Judgement on consistency, idempotency, and what must not be eventually-wrong.
- Clear written English. Remote-first collaboration.
- Ads, payments, or CRM integrations are useful. Not required.
